Kono District, Sierra Leone
A long-term project looking to capture the current nature of diamond mining in the Kono District of Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is one of the richest countries in the world when it comes to natural resources yet remains one of the poorest, ranking 203 out of 206 countries in the World Development Report. Through this project, I hope to visually tell the story of why.
